A listen-and-fill-the-gap Qurʾan memorization (ḥifẓ) aid.
An authentic per-ayah recitation plays while the ayah is shown with certain words masked as gaps. For the active gap you are shown the correct word plus two decoys, and you must pick before that word is recited. When the audio reaches the word your choice locks and the gap reveals the correct word from the canonical text.
The audio is always the complete, authentic recitation — a wrong pick is never recited and never alters the text. This is a reverent practice aid, not a game.

First run needs an internet connection. Takmila downloads its gap content on first launch. After that it works offline.
Extract the zip and run Takmila.exe from inside the Takmila folder. Keep the
_internal folder next to the executable.
Windows SmartScreen will show “Windows protected your PC — unknown publisher” because the app is not code-signed. Click More info → Run anyway.

Built on Ubuntu; a reasonably recent glibc is required. If it fails to start on an older distribution, that is why.
Unzip and drag Takmila.app to Applications. The app is not notarized, so Gatekeeper
will refuse it on first launch. Either right-click the app and choose Open, or
clear the quarantine flag:

This build runs on Apple Silicon only. It will not run on Intel Macs.
Enable Install unknown apps for your browser or file manager, then open the .apk.
The .ipa is unsigned. There is no way to install an unsigned app on a stock
iPhone by tapping a link. You must sign it yourself with your own Apple ID using a
sideloading tool such as AltStore or Sideloadly, and with a free Apple ID the app
stops working after 7 days and must be re-signed.
This file is provided for developers and for people who already sideload. Most users should wait for the App Store release.
Recitation audio and gap content are fetched at runtime. Nothing in this repository contains Qurʾanic audio or text.
