Installing CoinTex on your iPhone

This guide shows one reliable way to install CoinTex on your iPhone using the CoinTex app file (the .ipa) and a free tool called Sideloadly.

An iPhone cannot install an .ipa on its own. You install it once from a computer, and after that the game runs on your phone like any other app.

What you need

• Your iPhone and its USB cable.
• A Windows PC or a Mac.
• The CoinTex .ipa file, saved on that computer.
• An Apple ID. A normal free Apple ID works.

Steps

1. On the computer, install Sideloadly from https://sideloadly.io. On Windows, also install iTunes from https://www.apple.com/itunes (use the version from Apple’s website, not the one from the Microsoft Store) so the computer can connect to your iPhone. On a Mac you do not need iTunes. You may also need iCloud on Windows. Just follow the SideLoadly instructions and you will be fine.
2. Connect the iPhone to the computer with the cable. Unlock the phone, and if it asks “Trust this computer?”, tap Trust.
3. Open Sideloadly. Your iPhone shows up at the top of the window.
4. Drag the CoinTex .ipa into the Sideloadly window, or click the file box and choose it.
5. Type your Apple ID into the Apple account box.
6. Click Start. Enter your Apple ID password when asked. If a verification code is requested, enter the code Apple sends to your devices.
7. Wait until Sideloadly says it is done. CoinTex now appears on your home screen.

First time you open the game

The first time, iOS may say the developer is not trusted.

1. Open Settings, then General, then VPN and Device Management.
2. Tap your Apple ID under Developer App.
3. Tap Trust.
4. Open CoinTex. It is ready to play.

You may need to enable the Developer mode too:

1. Open Settings, then Privacy & Security
2. Scroll down to the Developer Mode option.
3. Switch it to On.

This might ask you to restart your device.

Good to know

With a free Apple ID the app works for 7 days. This is an Apple rule, not a limit of the game. When CoinTex stops opening, connect the phone to the computer and do the steps again to refresh it.

CoinTex plays in landscape, so turn the phone sideways.
